Real quick question

does the mpc have to be master over my fantom for the mpc to be able to play and record its kits and samples i have in it along with the fantom sounds?

even with my fantom as slave the mpc wont let me load its samples

hey,

you can't straight 'load' the fantom samples onto the mpc afaik,
you have to 'record' them into the mpc's inputs.

but also you should find a basic tutorial on the concepts of midi and read it.

i dont want to load the fantom samples onto the mpc.i want to be able to load my mpc sounds and kits and record whatever with that.then i want to use the fantoms own sounds to add to what i recorded with the mpc.the mpc and fantom are connected through midi.And i have the patch cords going from the fantom into the mixer and a patch cord in my mpc going to the mixer.

You need to have a track in your mpc seq
set to midi A.

yes i understand that but when i play the mpc pads it plays the fantom sounds and not the mpc sounds.when i try to load samples on the mpc it wont let me even preview the sound nor load it

sounds like your track (in That PGM ) is on MIDI ,switch it to Drum and you should hear the Sounds you loaded on the MPC.

its cazy because i thought it was that and i changed them around and it still does the same shit

Load the mpc sounds into banks C and D.(just turn off the Fantom for now so nothin gets messed up).Record whatever you're doing on the mp in the sequence first.Now,turn the Fantom back on and make sure you're in bank A channel 1(Midi) and make sure the Fantom track correlates.When you overdub you should be able to hear what you've done and record at the same time.Hell maybe even just forget about the midi stuff for now it's not workin and go to the mpc from the Fantom with 1/4s'.
