Mute Assign question

I know that you can assign certain notes to mute off others, but is there a way to set the mute assign feature where one note mutes off the previous one? I guess, in a way, make it monophonic.

I like assigning horn stabs to all my pads, but the problem is I play them randomly, and I don't like how the sound bleeds over to the next hit. Anyone got any suggestions or solutions?

Not possible. ...Not with random hits.

Just My 2 cents:....Would assigning the pad to "OFF" in parameters Rather than "Poly" or "Mono" do the trick? That way the note stops playing as soon as the pad is released?....just a guess.

It would, but technically, there would be a gap from the moment my finger was released from the pad until I hit the next one.

If you do it like Beat said you can just stop it or wait for the cycle to start over again while in rec and just time it to where there is no gap.Knowhatimean?

Usually i just wait for the cycle and when the other note ends hit the next pad and you should have it almost on time.If not just step it til you get it where you need it.

i use it all the time cuz i like to chop long stuff---then play it randomly...and loops just come out of nowhere
