Diggin in Budapest Hungary???

Ok this is a long shot but me and my bird are going to Hungary for new year and I'm thinking there must be a ton of vinyl in Eastern Europe, so I'd like to buy some. Maybe.

Anyone ever been there?

Any other good advice like where to go/eat whatever?

BTW i have a few hungarian folk albums which have some whicked guitar and piano lines in. Eastern Europe folk is always a must to check for me when digging here - but im sure it'll be easier there.

no doubt, even later for tweekers like me that cant sleep thinkin about records every milisecond of the day

budapest is one of the best cities I ever saw...insanely beautiful, and when i was there, in 97, it was like The Next Prague or something... man, that was almost ten years ago??? I was amazed, fully amazed. I'd go back in a heartbeat... I bet it's even more Prague-style (read: "ruined by americans") now, but it's still gotta be dope... I lived in Vienna for a summer studying German, and took a weekend trip to Budapest--it was really cool to be completely clueless, the language is like russian, not like english or german so I was fully lost. Awesome.

i was in budapest last year... i bought a few records at an open market on the buda side. check that shit out.

go see the castles! and post pics of that big beautiful parliament building.
oh yea.. and look up aettri in the phone book (a and e mixed symbol) when you get there.
