Reason and MPC working good on one end..

nothing, the mpc sends midi to reason, telling it to make a sound. the pads you pressed and also which order and timing etc, are stored in the mpc, if this is the way you have it set up, ie with the mpc as the sequencer and reason as a sound module.

ok, i got it mixed up. you're right on that one. but the principal of what i said still stand. midi is being transfered. and that is still why he couldn't hear reason's sound coming from the mpc's headphones.

lol yes i know, so many people make this mistake. perhaps a "difference between audio and MIDI" sticky is in order?

I asked this in another thread and I can't seem to make it work. I've got an M-Audio Audiophile USB soundcard. MPC's main output connected to the soundcard's input. Midi out from mpc into midi in from soundcard. And everything setup according to sparq's vid. I'd like to hear both reason and the mpc through my soundcard. But so far I only hear reason through my headphones. Any way I can make this work?

In Reason, go into Preferences and make sure your Audio is routed to your soundcard. Choose the ASIO driver specific for your soundcard.
