Whats up Fam.........I got a guy thats coming over tonight to do a lil
mixtape thing with ten instrumentals.....Im going to import the instrumentals into protools and lay his vocals right........My question is,
will the vocals be the only thing I have to adjust since these are beats that
have already been mastered before I bounce to disk........!

I'm not absolutely sure but unless you know how to get a great vocal mix you probably shouldn't have got the beat mastered without the vocals. But then again I don't know.

I think you should be good with the instrumentals.Your main concern will be the vocal levels,their consistency anyway and maybe normalizing all the tracks in the end.

record and mix the vocals and buss them to a group channel. next place a limiter on the new 2 buss of just the vocals. this is 2 get the loudness in the ballpark of the track. now put a limiter if u desire on the master bus with very light limiting.

another way is to just drop the volume of the beat until it sounds good with the vocals then limit the master buss
