2KXL & Acid

Does anyone here use their 2Kxl with Acid?? I am in desperate need of some advice regarding syncing the pair using MTC..

please someone help me...I dont know where to turn!

try looking through my USEFUL THREAD link, I actually connected my 2kxl w/ acid one day and wrote down the settings I used. Those settings are in that thread somewhere.

i know your mpc and acid will react different sync wise depending on what you have set as the master and the slave. also i noticed when i slaved my mpc to cubase, it worked out better for me to use midi clock instead of midi time code...try it out, let us know how it goes.

Lamp, am no slouch mate. I have really searched for your Acid notes and cant find them...I found some of your notes on Cool Edit/AA syncing, but nothing on Acid...would it be possible to point me closer in the right direction?

Scarecrow I am using the MPC as slave and Acid as Master. I have tried using Midi Clock but I prefer MTC as you can place the marker on Acid wherever you want and the MPC knows what part of the song sequence to play.

I'm sorry, I could have SWORN I had the settings on that thread. I'll post them in that thread later tonight when I get home. I'm at work and don't have them avail...

Lampdog mate did you have any luck finding your notes?

Acid Pro 5 (Master Sync)
Generate MIDI Timecode = F7 *turns on/off*
Options, Preferences, MIDI tab = choose MIDI port for generating Timecode.
Options, Preferences, SYNC tab = SMPTE non drop 30 frames per second.
MPC2kxl (slave)
MIDI in 1.
MIDI MMC = receive off
Frame rate 30

Acid Pro 5 (Master Sync)
Generate MIDI Clock = Shift+F7 *turns on/off*
Options, Preferences, MIDI tab = choose OUTPUT DEVICE for generating Midi Clock settings.
Triton Extreme (slave)
MIDI in.
Global, Midi (pg1), MIDI Clock: External MIDI.
Checkmark the "Receive Ext. Realtime Commands".
Checkmark the "Local Control ON".

u got it working ok?

I cant get it to respond on 30fps for sum reason.

regarding the blank bar at the beginning of the track...

am I right in thinking I should create a blank bar on the MPC and a blank bar on Acid?

then every time I play the track I have to play it from the blank bar?
