Metronome

Hi All,
this MPC2500 is my first and im really diggin it,
does anyone know if there is a way to turn the metronome up or change the sound so i can hear it better?

unfortunately, that can't be done on the 2.5k. if you do a search on this board, there have been cats talking about this. one work around is to first record like a rim shot or a hi hat to the tempo on track 1 then turn that up via the track volume, program your beat then erase track 1 when you're finished.

An MPC of this great stature should have the ability to route the metronome (click) to either the stereo or individual outs like the MPC 3000. This is not an unreasonable request. But I can live without it. I fully utilize the 8 indivduals outputs. I assign all my samples to these outputs and use the stereo out for the metronome. The volume of the stereo signal can be adjusted.

Although I still use the work-around..it will be nice to have this function.

i find the click to be loud enough, but i record my hats on track 1, then its easy to keep timing with everything after.

well yeah i guess it would be nice, but why not just resample 1 bar of metronome, turn it into patched phrase, loop it and put it on track 1, and set that sequence as autoload? this way it would basically be the same thing and also adjust to whatever speed your using.

There are plenty of work arounds.

However, this function that I request is already possible in older MPCs (such as the 3000). It doesn't seem impossible to add this function. We shouldn't have to do any extras for such a basic function.
