midi muting problem w. mpc1000

this is killing me...sometimes when I record keyboard sequences and/or sample sequences, certain notes will be muted or cut off...What's the deal with this? Sometimes the keyboard notes will cut off the sample, other times I just won't be able to record a certain note long enough, like I'll play a quarter note, but when I listen back it will be cut off, and be a 16th or some shit...

research your problem a little more and tell us specifically when it is happening...give us more details and i think we'll be able to help you

meanwhile, i've never experienced this, and with a couple workflow changes, you probably won't either

do you have them on the same track? adn what about the program and do you have the key mute channels on just a couple things to look for

yeah, its all correct. Sometimes it'll just be one track I'm recording, yet it will still cut off certain notes. I've had the 1000 for two years now, I think its just slowly passing away...
