MPC1000 or 1000BK should I wait?

Hello everyone, I'm thinking of purchasing an mpc1000 within the next two-to-three weeks, recently however, I have come across the yet unreleased mpc1000 bk.

Long story short, do You guys think that the bk is gonna be of any different build? Maybe longer lasting pads? or an extra button? Or does the only difference lie in color only?

I am debating myself, because I don't know what I should do. Wait for the bk to come out, and hope that just maybe that would drive the current mpc1000 prices down. Or perhaps I should wait for the bk to come out, and get that?

I'd like to say money isn't an issue but it is. What do You think the price of the bk will be when it comes out?

I apologize for posting a pointless thread, but I'm a curious fella with some time on my hands before bedtime, with a thousand thoughts running through my head, because frankly I can't wait to get my sweaty hands on any sort of mpc.

get a blue/red one off ebay for cheap if you can, then just replace any poor quality pads via vst

I'm in the same boat and i've decided to hang on for a few reasons.

Waiting will mean i can save up all of the money instead of putting some on credit card!

I prefer the black to the blue (maybe i'm sad but i would like a choice if it were a car i was buying!)

Hopefully OS 2.0 will be released with it so i can use all the new features out of the box. I know upgrading is probably a piece of piss but it's nice anyway.

I'm happy to plug away with Reason and Recycle for a while, even though i find mouse clicking so uninspiring

well i'd say in about 15 years alot of people will be wanting the blue and red on some throwback shit.

hopefully when the bk comes out, the price of 2nd hand red and blues will go down...
