I just wanna know where everybody wants to be by the end of 2004. What's your goals: Do you wanna record deal? Do you want to sell that 1st beat? Do you just wanna get better and improve those skills.
My resolution: I wanna be an all around better producer. I'm learning protools, Im learning the guitar and the bass, I'm even learning how to track live drums. So by the time 2004 rolls around, yo boy Groove is gonna be on his "A" game, for real. Me and my rap partner in crime Poetic are gonna finish our album. It WILL be one of the best albums of 2004, hey maybe one of the best albums ever??? (you gotta think big right?).
That's my resolution.......Don't be scurrred, and post one up too.

Well, my resolution of 2002 was to make at least one track (and I did ;)), my resolution for this year was all about the beats (and it was ;)), so my resolutions for 2004 are to make more tracks, more beats, and finish community college so I can transfer out to a university (and I will ;)). I sold my first beat in 2002, so I already got that goal out the way LOL...but for reals, I just wanna improve my all around skills music/producer/beat maker wise and expand my education. Live life safe in 04' and blow some music ish up on the real!...peace

My goal is still to work harder then all of yall still but now i know what that means. Im not gona limit myself to anything that can make my music better(software hardware samples or music). Instead of making a 1000 beats im gona spend more time on learning how to play the piano better. I feel making alot of beats dont mean your gona get better. Overall im slowing down my production to create my own sound. im not tryinh to be different but im tring to focus now on everything little or big that will make the overall track better. This month i have took alot of the drum sounds i have found and edit them so that they sound like what i want them to sound. In 2004 every second will be dedecated to music no matter if im at work listing to music from the pass or in my truck bangin out something new. when im not making practicing my craft im on the web paging learning something new about the gear i have or something that will better my music. Im gona eat sleep music....i want to be the earlies up working music and the last one going to sleep from working on music. Like the great Jayz said "IM FOCUS MAN!"

TOTAL WORLD DOMINATION!!! ...oh yeah, and to make some hot beats with my MPC...

By Toecutter Tue Dec 30, 2003 4:35 am
My New Years resoloution is to bang out more dope beats along with the heat I already have, and shop them to some artists that can get my career really rolling. If possible I want to learn pro tools also and build my pro tools setup.
