percussion samples

I've got enough kicks, snares/claps and hats to keep me goin for a while, but I realized that I don't have many percussion sounds. It's easy to find samples with the typical drums, but are there any good sample CDs, kits, or downloads (free or pay) for some decent percussion samples? Just the basic shakers, tambourines, cymbals, congas, etc.; stuff like that. Let me know, thanks in advance.

go out and buy some records.
check the back of the cover for instruments. that may help.

or hook your mpc up to reason of FL but i prefer diggin.
maybe you'll find other nice samples.

ive found heaps of sample packs on p2p programs. give them a try

A lot of the early sample-based drum machines have really good percussion sounds. Not always very real-sounding when you listen to them as individual hits but they sit behind a drum track nicely.

Do a search for samples of the following:

Roland TR727 & 626
Any of the Linn drum machines.... LM1, LM2, Linn 900
Korg DDM 220
Yamaha RX21L
Akai XR10

Sadly http://www.hollowsun.com no longer do their free downloads which is where I got most of my vintage drum machine kits from, but they sell CD roms.

Old disco records, especially on the Salsoul label, are a great source for percussion breaks.

I'm on an MPC2000XL, I save all my sounds on memory cards.
