midi connecting problems ????

As I stated before pick up a Trading Times magazine. Although the patches you described are basically Generl Midi you still want a good representation. So based on your choice of instruments I'd advise you get a used Proteus 2000 which contains all of these sounds and a lot more. Plus the Proteus allows for you to grow even more with an extra expansion slot. This means you get to save space versus another keyboard and down the line you can put another set or should I say style of instruments in there and still be able to play both off the MPC while only using one of the midi ports on your MPC. By the way ,you can get a used Proteus for as low as $100 just keep an eye out.

I could buy an used evolution evs-1 in my local audio shop for 44 pound. Would that be a good idea or is ist rather useless for hiphop...

Not familiar with that one myself. However, it could be a starting point for you. Just keep in mind that when you buy equipment put forth an effort not to get run on equipment. Example; avoid buying duplicates. Why go out and buy a effects module if you can add effects via your multi track recorder. Or go out and buy another keyboard with similar patches to the one you already own. As to answer your question a bit better. Is the 40 pounds a reasonable gamble for you? More than likely it is, this is a means that most of us start with and evolve with. And remember the beats are what you make them, a sound is just a sound. You are the artist.

Would it be possible to send midi data via midi out from my pc????
