MPC200xl and Reason for MAC...

I just got the Reason 3.0 for my Imac and I need to know how to Use my MPC200xl as a controller as well as my USB powered Keyboard at the same time... SO that I can use the MPC to drop my drum sounds and the Keyboard to do everything else... Can anyone help me?

i've tried that setup before with the exception of the mpc and reason connection... i connect my keyboard thru a midi cable but since you have a usb i guess that should work alright as well. As for the mpc to reason...i'm sure its possible. Theres gotta be a way to plug that baby in

get a usb midi interface

and even when i say that, verify it with the ppl @ the music store cause i'm just saying it based off of my past situation where i wanted the midi keyboard and mpc to work together.

i have that same set-up

make the usb keyboard the "master keyboard" in reason

then, set up the midi portst on ur interface to accept the midi data from the mp

oh yeah,

dont connect ur keyboard to ur mp through midi--it will only complicate things. you can still control ur sounds through the computer--the usb cord acts as a midi chain between ur computer and ur mp
