WEIRDESt shit

Like for my fantom and mpc setup.

A patch cord is running from the output A/R2 on my fantom into my mixers line in 2.

A patch cord is running from the assignable mix out of the MPC into the mixers line in 1.

Midi in from fantom to midi out on mpc and vice versa.

Here the weird shit:
I want to record with my kits and sampls i have on my mpc and use the fantom for its sound seperately for the melody.Exacmple:Make a drum beat on my mpc and use a sound from the fantom to add to it.I tried using my mpc sounds but it wont let me.The mpc pads only play the fantom sounds.

The weird shit is i decided to take out the phone jack connected to my mixer and put it into my mpc phone jack and the fantom keys began to play the mpc sounds!Wtf is going on

your MPC has a phone jack?

Well anyway the problem you are having is with the midi cables.If the fantom is slaved to the mpc and you have selected midi not drum tracks this is the result.Come on man,don't be afraid to break out the manual.
