Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

What up peeps?

I can't friggin remeber how to configure the settings on the MPC with Cubase to have the MPC act as a Master and Cubase as the Slave.

Meaning when you hit the Transport button to play on the MPC, Cubase will begin to record your track.

I got everything else up and running again at my studio, except for this feature.

Rewire , MPC controlling Reason as a Sound Module and all! :-)

Just need someone to give me a play by play (as i would do for yall) on how to get it poppin again.

Peace

(Hey, I used the search feature but only found topics when i discussed the shitz in minor details in the past. No step by step. lol)

here we go cash; step by step:
- first connect the midi out of your mpc with the midi in of your soundcard;
- MPC: choose the right midi output and midi time clock (25 fps) in the sync screen;
- PC: double click SYNC in the transport window; select the midi input of your soundcard instead of the internal clock; of course also 25 fps; then highlight the SYNC button (transport window);
(that's all I can say now, cause I'm not at home to look things up)
good luck

Oh yeah, to all my peeps

anybody thats able or have the time for the run down of the settings to adjust in Cubase and the MPC holla.

I already got all my stuff midi up properly, seeming I can control Reason and my Motif from the MPC.

I just need the info on the SYNC SETUP in Cubase and the Setting on the MPC.

In the meanwhile, i will work on figuring it out myself.
