I have a little problem with my mpc..

It seems like the screen contrast changes by it self! I'm getting a bit worried about that. someone who's got the same problem? and why is it doing like that?

Ive had the same problem recently but I think it is just from changing the angle i view the screen at. Do you have your mpc on for long periods of time? That may dim the screen if im not mistaken.

what you are most likely experiencing is the screen becoming darker after the mpc heats up a bit, then when you adjust it to be a bit lighter, you turn it off, it cools down, and becomes even brighter, so when you turn it on, it appears really bright.

bingo

the mpc1000 screen is more akin to a cell phone screen or a calculator screen than former mpc screens.

the pro is that it will last FAR longer than any other kind of screen in older models

the con is that its contrast is influenced by heat. we don't like to pay for heating so my house is always cold - the screen is so light when i turn it on, but an hour later i got to recompensate.

luckily it takes less than a second to readjust the contrast.
