drum improvement question

sure

vincent - don't worry about clean sounding kicks unless you're trying to make pop or electronica! all you need is a 808, 606 or esp 909 kick and some accoustic kick. layer those two. drop the 909's pitch a couple notes and skin it with the accoustic. you'll have a great kick, may need some individual tweaking with attack/decay depending on the samples used but you can do that.

don't waste time searching for somethign when you can conjure it out of nothing man, you'll be happier iwth your sound and who knows? you might just figure out your OWN particular sound that you are recognized for individually. this in my opinion is the most important thing.

by the way, check out my pgms below. even if you can't use mpc1000 pgms, you can still use the samples to make your own. they're a bunch of really good accoustic samples chopped from songs with drum intros.
