just save up money.. you can buy a good MPC from 600 to 800 dollars second hand.

If you have to just use your computer and software while you save.Most people come up on their gear at tax time also.(like me)
What Dstruct was refering to is if you really want to make beats there are other ways to do it then just the mpc.Hell,hit the pawn shops in your area and find whatever you can find for the time being.Anything is better than nothing.

its no disrespect, but as far as i go, and all the beatmakers i know go, making beats is something sacred man! Its something you love. If you really wanted to do it, like i wanted to before i started, you would save the money.
who cares how long it takes, an serious aspiring beatmaker will do what evers necessary. I had to save for a loooooooongggg time man, but when i got my mpc, it was worth it. Ive owned my mpc for about 6 years now, and to me its still my favorite thing i own.
I worked an extra job and sacrificed other pleasures in my life to be able to afford the mpc
as far as making beats while you save up, i started on a boss dr5, you can find one on ebay for cheap. or you can flowers with fruity loops or any software like that.

i dont know, because i only use hardware.
i learned on the dr5 drum machine, then i copped the mpc2000

If you mean like a payment plan then HELL YEAH!!I would love to have an mpc in my possession and paying like $200 a month at a 1% A.P.R of course.

I think the best thing you can do is saving money, as far as what to do in the meantime... get fruityloops, great way to get you started.

yea...aight...but tha thing wit fruity loops is...im not good wit painting in beatz on a grid...they jus dont come out rite when i do that.........thats why i wanna bang out on some pads of some kind.............
