MPC2000 CLASSIC OVERHAUL

HEY GUYS IVE BEEN RESEARCHING AND MAKING POSSIBLE THOUGHTS OF BUYING A ZIP OR A JAZ DRIVE BUT THANKS TO A FELLOW MEMBER BY THE NAME OF ROHAN AKA MPC3000LE HE HAS HELPED ME HELP MYSELF TO IMPROVE MY 2000 AND HERE IS THE RESEARCH RESULTS THANKS TO ROHAN AND GOOGLE I WILL BE PERFORMING MY OFFICIAL DEBUT MPC2000 OVERHAUL IT WILL FEATURE A MULTICARD READER BLACK,BLACK PADS,AND CUSTOM PAINTED BLACK FINISH. THE TOTAL ILL BE SPENDING WILL BE 25 BUCKS ITS AMAZING WHAT A LITTLE RESEARCH CAN DO FOR YOU . if this works for you, im definitely putting a card reader in my mpc. more power to ya! always tip my hat to someone trying to advance the old 2000!

the links dont mention the card readers working with a classic 2000 though, just the xl. one link says the mpc 60 3000 and 2000 can only use external scsi (which i use now).

man, i really wanna use a card reader in my classic! you got my hopes up brother! please tell me this is true!

sorry the correct reader would be the an scsi card reader the mpc 2000 classic doesnt have ide/ata so when i get the correct source for the card reader i will definitely post it up for u guys

the correct one is the microtech pc47b i saw it on ebay make sure its scsi the mpc classic only accepts the scsi

where did you read this will work on a classic

yes it will work i will let you know next week i just order it from the computer shop so when its installed ill let you know as well as after i finish the ill paint job with ill black flat finish and black pads it would be hot i will post more info and also pics any further questions ask the expert member mpc3000le he told me what to do

Whilst I didn't suggest "this model" exactly to NYFEBEATS ...

... I did suggest MICROTECH/Intermart as a brand in preference to other SCSI variations.

The 47/47B are not "that" much different from each other.

The different slots present appear as individual ID's on the SCSI bus.

The PCD47/47B tested by Mike seemed not compatible with a few machines, MPC2000 CLASSIC included.

Models that would be preferable are:

SCSI MICROTECH/Intermart PCD series readers: PCD-15, PCD-17, PCD-19, PCD-25.

Having said that:

I have a PCD47B as an external model and it appears to work fine when connected to my friends MPC2000 CLASSIC.

Currently it gets moved between my MPC3000LE and another friends MPC2000XL with no drama.
