a surprising number of cats use mini-disks, and not just to record beats. Think of how easy it would be to sneak one of them into a show and record your own "live" samples (not like you'd ever do that). Try an internet search on " mini-disk recording" or perhaps someone else out there knows of some web pages with info.
What kind of ins does your mindisk have? You might have to go to Radio Shack and buy a converter cable, but this shouldn't cost too much. Have fun.

most minidisc you can hook up to a little mic
would be perfect to record a sneaky conversation (my dreams of becoming a secret agent draw ever nearer...)
but usualy a analog "dub cable" (i think thats what they called)
will do the trick
from mixers or soundcards or what have you....
i have not tried it on the mpc yet but it is not a bad idea at all....

It can be done. I do this. You need to buya "Y" cable to hook it up. A "Y" cable has one male stereo input jack (like for a walkman) and converts to two male 1/4" inputs. You put the stereo input intot the "LINE IN" on the mini disc player/recorder, and the 1/4" inputs to the MPC "RECORD IN" and sample off the mini disc. This is how I do it, but if anyone else has any faster methods, please post it. I hope that I could be of some help :)...peace

When I first bought my ASR10 my Kenwood MD was my life blood for recording my final mixes cause I had no PC at the time...When I finally got a PC I put them all on my hard drive, cleaned up using mastering plugins and processing, burned my cd's of my songs, crystal clear....
