what to buy next

Hey im quite new to hardware producing (used to have fruityloops)

Anyways can you guys maybe give me some tips on what to safe my money for next?

I got a MPC 2000xl ( WITHOUT THE 8 OUTPUTS)
DJ Mixer
Technics Sl1210 Turntable

I dont know if buying the 8 extra outputs is the best thing to do first.

Depends on what you need/want.Also has alot to do with your genre.Make a sound module or midi controller.You can never go wrong with vinyl either.But like i said it depends on what you need/want.Only you can make that decision.Evaluate your situation and then make your choice.

What cant i do without the 8 outputs exactly? i head alot of diffrent stories (someone even told me i wont be able to record my songs without the 8 outpits :/)

from the looks of your setup i would say a decent sound module.

you basically have all you need.

what most cats do, is go down to your neighborhood GC and just start fkkin around with all the gear. and if they are feelin extra slutty, they usually walk out with more shht they dont need.

The advantage of having the 8 outs is of course you can track your beats out 8 tracks at a time.Which saves time but if you don't have an interface/workstation with 8 ins it's kind of pointless.
Whoever told you you can't track your beats without the 8 outs,next time you see them,slap the ish out of them for me.Thanks.

you dont really need the 8 outs. they just make it easier to track parts of your beats out individually. its useful but not neccessary.

actually i see that you have reason 3, so you dont need a sound module.

hows your xl for memory? and what speakers you rockin?

id suggest speakers but again there not a necessity

youve basically got all the main ingredients

maybe some more vinyl and drum hit sample packs

my mpc got the full memory
about the speakers, right now i use headphones, but im getting some speakers soon from a friend.

Maybe a MIDI controller is a good idea?

nah you dont need a midi controller.

if you need one for FL then you should be able to use the xl. but you need a soundcard with midi inputs.

A midi controller isn't a bad idea.

If you use the controller and reason you can record your notes into the Xl.Which is alot easier than using the xl to control reason.

you want sounds man. if your not a straight vinyl sampling mad beat maker, i would buy a midi keyboard (first of all) then a module with some good sounds on it.

u can use the keyboard to control modules, vst's or midi in general.
