Connection question

Hey all. First off Happy Holidays to you all! I just upgraded from the mpc 2000 to the 2000xl w/8outs. I have a proteus 2000 with 6 outs. I also have a Mackie 1402VLZ mixer. My question, what are some of your suggestions on hooking everything up? I'm not sure if I need to use the 6 outs on the proteus, but on the mpc I imagine so. They say the proteus sounds better when you utilize the outputs. The Mackie is connected to a M-audio Audiophile 2496 to which I record to. Thanks to all of you in advance.

Your mixer has like 14 imputs so go for it see how it works out. 8 + 6 you could eq and add effects before sending it to the computer.....And sometimes its not that nobody wants to post, there is so much going on that it may get over looked.....Alot of people post on a daily so be cool and have some fun with your equipment
