What i did notice is on the mpd 16 you can only have two pad bank changes..............the trigger finger gives you 16 different midi assignments (pad banks)....man, i wanted to keep it akai too, but if it works, it works.


i work at a used music store, and we have a bunch of used 1000's as well as a couple akai mpd-16's. if its note to busy i'll try and test it out tommorow.

i was thinking about getting the mpd-16, cause used it would probalbly only be about $100. but it seems lke the trigger finger destroys it in every way.

you said the pads feel just as good (and responsive)?

my pads are nice and broken in, no issues here, and its been a year
