A beginners question

Though i've made some nice tracks with the MP... i'm still fairly a beginner.. Just a question somethin i couldn't really grasp.... When i change the number of bars and it says i have to Insert some, to make everything fit... how do i do it? Like say I have a high hat set at 2 bars.... then i change it to 4 bars, and i want to keep the hi hat going at all times... what do I do? Do you even understand what i'm saying, because the way i'm explainin it is wierd...

After like ten trips back to my pc I am now ready to type, I do this often but when I read the question I could not tell you how to do it but im ready now......Youve got two bars and you want to flip it to four......1. Press the edit button......2. Press bar.......3 adjust your numbers in the from half (From Sequence 1, first bar 1, last bar 2).......4. on the to screen set your numbers(To Sequence 1, After bar 2, copies 1)......5 Press Do It........Hope this helps you
