FS or FT..mpc 60/s950 make an offer..

a friend has a 4k i can use at the studio so i wont be mpc-less entirley.. i want to try a different setup and im not made of money...i think id really like ot try the sp-12T/eps16+ combo.. if i could id keep the 60 and have them all but its not gonna happen like that..besides different gear will create different sounds of beats from me....and i know ill eventually sell my soul to get a minty 3k..but until then...who wants it..

mpc 60 mk1, 3.0os, full mem., nice shape 100% functional, no scsi, i can include some disks..
akai S/950 works 100%, used condition, sounds great, low mem.(i never needed more memory w/ it but its ony 512 kword i think..)

Youre making a big mistake.

keep the 60 and get an sp 1200 even if you have to wait and save up the money because of more sampling time.

60's better than an sp12T...:-/

maybe for depth of seq. but what about sound? i like grimey boom-bap drums(sp) and throw a bit of delay from the eps on some horns/keys/strings/whatever sample and i can get busy a different way for a bit...im hesitating a little bit but if the right offer came by...the only constant in my beatmaking setup is me...

If you're undecided, then you might as well sell them.

You might be making a mistake, but if you don;t realize it now, you'll have to make the mistake in order to really know.

considering you don;t really know either machine very well, I'd say just make beats.

its not like i wont find another 60 again if i want...the end result of all this will likely be a 3k...but thats down the line a bit...to me,its about the journey...

sounds like fun then. an SP of any sort would be fun to mess with for a while.

Word. If you're not attached to those machines then, by all means, sell them and try something else.

It's great to try different things to see what works for you. However, if you find "your machine", do not sell it for anything. You will definitely regret it.

but u know that shit will limit u like a motha fukka.

try the sampling on double speed on the turntable then into the mpc and then tune the shit down to get the drums more grimey.

also why not sell the 950 and buy an emax or emualtor II, i've heard the emulator II is identical to the sample engine in the sp1200, but with more shit on it. it's huge tho so u need to have a good amount of space:-)
