pressing play and sample continues from stop

Just wanted to know If this is a possible or promised feature. To be able to press stop during a sequence and play from that point on with longer samples picking up from the pause. Is this something in the 2500? Or just my wishing?

The 2500 has that feature.

I think "Continuous Sample Track" is what you're talking about. Look it up in the manual (p. 116). One thing you will notice is that you can only assign ONE track to act like this (for whatever reason...), but as far as i understand it you can of course play up to 64 different samples on that track then.

Yup...only one continuous sample track...if Akai pushes this to 64 and add the ability to assign individual effects to each track...and allow this samples to be recorded to the hard drive instead of RAM....good lord!
