Sample while Sequencer Plays

I've asked around but haven't really got a straight answer..are you able to sample or record in..while the sequencer plays like you can on the 1000?

Yes, the MPC 2500 can play a sequence and sample at the same time. You can play a sequence, and re-sample the internal sounds, effects, and sound module/keyboard connected to the MPC 2500s input thru (with effects, EQ, or Compression)
