Reason's vs. pro tools

When You Get PT with your Digi 002, it Comes with a LE version of Reason (adapted). And for a little more money you can be upgraded to the Full version of Reason 3.0.
And yes they are totally different, but through rewire you can use Reason with PT.

bro no offense to you but they are right.. im new too but im trying to do my reasearch... reading up on stuff.. theres this magazine called scartch... its actually pretty good to get to know some stuff... the basics.. h ow producers think... and i do a lot of reasearch on tha net... btw

Ey dude it's like everyone else said. If it helps any, Reaso(N) 3.0 is a beat generating program. Or you can think of it as one. There are a bunch of virtual instruments such as software synths; pianos, drums, basses, sin leads etc that you can use together to complement one another. You can sequence with those sounds or add sound canvases or your own sampled sounds. Its basically everything internal. ( your making music from the program and samples within the program itself). The digi 002 is a RECORDING interface that can also be used as a stand alone digital mixer (for a live performance for instance) you can control protools with the 002 as well. If you want to record live vocals or live instruments go with the 002. Depending on your budget you can obviously get higher/lower priced control surfaces and interface setups. I would research more on the net before I spend money on something im not certain about. If you have any questions id be glad to help.
