Buying black pads from the UK... where? Cimple are useless

Hi

I've been trying to get replacement pads for so long now. I have an MPD-16 and need the black pads. Are they they same as the ones in the MPC 4k? The MPC series pads are thicker than the MPD pads, and mine are worn anyway.

Anyone know where i can get some, hopefully cheap? Cimplesolutions NEVER get back to me, i've been trying for ages (literally like a year) to contact them by phone and email and they keep saying 'not in stock', 'on order', etc.

they should have an answer as to whether the mpc series pads will work with the mpd.

i doubt that they will work.

When i did contact cimple, they told me they were indeed the same pads as a 3000 - which seemed odd as the 3000 doesn't have black pads afaik?

But, i've opened up the MPD, and also opened up an mpc2k, and they certainly look the same to me, other than differences in colour

thanks for the email address to vst - i emailed them but then tried the bit after the '@' in the address bar, and it worked...

i don't have a credit card (they are the devils work) so i can't order online, but i will get a friend to get me the pads using their card

seems like there is still a wait/backorder though

"Yes the pads are the same as the ones in the 4K. Unfortunately we have had the same problem of a long backorder time. I hope to have them within the next month or so but it's hard to tell with Akai. If you'd like to place a backorder then you can order on our site, www.vstservice.com, and I will keep the order open until we finally receive the item. Please keep in mind that shipping to the Uk can be very expensive, up to about $50 even for a small package."
