yeah i feel you but check it , the more you study up and become familar with these artist and songs and stuff you can then do like itchy did to use the net as a tool, you fist have to know what you are listenin to or lookin for you kno ,
it easrier to run down alist of artist you know what they sound like than runinn down a list of unknown artist and it kjust looks like a bunch of letter and names, does tha make sence
like the first sample was from the stones,threason i knoew that was cause i got a greatest hit;s of theres and i have heard that song from them, which then lead me to belive it was a stones song, the the next thing would be to do a search of thta song's remakes or covers and pin point from there.
but the main key is to know your music so you can start from the main source , and progress from there. or else you will be stuck .there's songs i still cant figure out at times, but it's because i havent listen to a particular artist in some time or i havent studied that artist yet , and i'm slippin.
one tip i can give you though, is talk to older folks ,i'm always askin my aunt and my uncle stuff about music from there time. my aunt is in her 60's and my uncle is in his 40's , my uncle grew up on music from the 60's that acid rock and hey days stuff, which i'm in to and i like to talk to him about that stuff because i have discover'd stuff i would have nevr known, because of him . my aunt she listens to allkinds of music but i like to talk to her about music from the 40's and 50's, she 's told me about some latin music that is just off the hook, and i would never of known that either because of her, she let me borrow somw cd's and i just look up the artist and study what they have done and who they have played with ,
i had seen this cuban music doc about a yr ago i told my aunt and she had abunch of this type music and she let me borrw that i just need to study and listen to this stuff now so i have it in brain storage for future refference, theres so much to learn from music it's incredible dont be afraid to ask question on here man , theres cats that qill help, i knowsometimes we(i) get frustrated answering the same questions but beleive a lot of the questions asssssssk'd are in here, and it seems like it ahd been ask'd just days before,it seems like some really dont search.
