You need to get that manual for the ASR 10 homie. Once you get that and figure out how to set it up for midi all you will have to do is set it to 1A-16A not drum 1-4. That's the only thing holding you up.

Edit_Instrument: You can choose what the ASR plays:
BOTH = midi AND local sounds. Scroll left or right to see the other options.

You can get the book at http://www.asr-10.com/ homie..
Alot of other info about ASR is there also.. This site answers the prayers of many ASR10 owners..

Are you sure you got the midi out from the MP running to the midi in on the ASR.

One night I hooked my ASR 10 up to my MPC 60 and read how to setup the ASR for midi transfer. I had the drums on track 1 (midi channel 1) and triggered it from my MPC. I then made track 2 (midi channel 2) with a bass guitar. I pushed record on the mpc and played the keys on the piano on the ASR-10 and then when the pattern looped back around, the mpc was triggering what I just played! Anyways, it can be done. Just read the manual. It can be done.
