MPC 2000 xl beats

sup guys
again just to repeat im a newcomer... im gonna be buying my mpc pretty soon.. i just wanted to ask u guys somethin
i read that the mpc 2000 doesnt come with its own drums
so i was wondering... i know there are a lot of cds or places where i could get my samples from... but how do i know which ones are good...
some of you guys might tell me IT DEPENDS WHAT URE LOOKIN FOR...
but i need a straight up answer plz

no one can tell you what kind of drums you will personally like.

most sample cds have a variety of all different drums kits and samples. tutor,(the owner of this site) sell many sample packs to get you going.

direct your questions to the "sample pack support" forum for more information about his kits.

the 1000 comes with some bonus sounds if you buy it brand new. but there arent many. you can also make your own samples from vinyl, cds or whatever.

sample cds are all over the place. you just have to look around.

Take EM's advice and run it with it.

I'm sure you have cd's, tapes, or records. Sample from these.. that's your best source for drum sounds. Since your just starting off, I'd suggest buying the cheapest sample cd with the most drum sounds. You not going to make a platinum hit right away unless you've been blessed with a serious gift, and if you buy an expensive sample cd now, your just going to get bored of it later and want more. You probably won't be able to appreciate it since you don't know how to manupilate the MPC, so just buy some inexpensive sounds to help you get by.

buy some records of check if your parents/relatives/friends got some records.

simple answer tell him to buy a triton or a tr-61 the newest korg keyboard.. if you dont like diggin for sounds dont bother with an mpc man. straight up.

my friend take Roxstar advice its the only one that is good to go with. you need to use your machine to make music so you can see what you need to improve on. sitting there trying to dig for drums and sound, when you dont know what you doing uis pointless. Roxstar great advice.
