advice is good to take from a forum, but only as advice, not as definite instruction from anybody

there are no checklists for how to get a business up and running...if you cant get things going on your own, then maybe right now isnt the time to start a business....?

just my opinion
but good luck

You should've had an action plan set before you did anything...

You should trademark you name...not the company name though...

i'm lost here.....
if you're sending demos to A&R's....what help is the llc going to do you...i mean i understand that credability and being "Legit" can only help....but if you dont know what your talkin about then none of that shit means jack.....

what the hell u talking bout. having an llc has nothing to do with sending demos. thats my company so then if i want i could join under another company . like diplomats under def jam and shit like that dum ass.

look, i'm NOT trying to discourage you ... do what you feel is best...all i'm saying is that i hear a lot of people talk about how they are "gettin their llc" or "startin my own business" thinking that its gonna make them successful all of a sudden cause they paid $30 to get a piece of paper. I'm not saying that YOU personally dont know what your talking about, you may be very well capable....

as for the other matter - I just wasnt clear as to what you were doing...all you said was that you got an llc...and then you're sending demos....

no beef here

good luck pimpdawg156

Uhhh... actually there are a number of things you need to make sure you do... I would recommend finding yourself a good book about starting an LLC and gettin cozy with it.

Go back and search on a lot of my posts in the this forum "The Biz" and a lot of answers are there.

Good job on getting your LLC.

I would suggest possibly "only" in theory...

Looking at: Trademarking your name, Registering for a Business License, Registering with ASCAP or BMI (free), and coping a BarCode.

Props on getting the business down first!
