you could post LTB (looking to buy) MPC 60 mint condition w/ sczi & 3.1 o/s for $600 . If you want, include in your post asking the seller to put the mpc up in a private ebay auction and insure it just in case.

You will probably find someone willing to sell you an mpc 60 mk2 from LA craigslist.

I called up Forat about a year ago and he said every once and a while he has different mpc's and he would sell them to you. If memory serves me correct I remember him saying his lowest mpc 60 would be like $600.

We should compile a list of all know Akai mpc repair 60 and 3000 repair centers and their labor prices and warrantys?

there is so little that can go on an mpc thereis so little to worry about!


sure the buttons need some air blown in em....the display might need a replacing..but that's realy it:-) ( of course i had one with a ripped ribbon cable, and some kinda sticky substance poured ni one of mine )

Many people have spilled liquids on their MPCs..that may not be noticeable until you open them up. I bought an MPC 3000 classic on eBay two years ago for my kids...the screen need to be replaced...it was filthy inside..and there was a sticky, dried liquid something on the inside. The seller claimed that he sent it for repairs and cleaning before going on eBay..and he refused to refund my money. I had to file a complaint with my credit card due to this busta..

yea unfortunately there are a lot of retards out there wit mpcs:-( and then they try n flip it once it goes bad:-/

mpc market is a shady one, u ever find that jah? i'm used to analog synths and the like, and that market is much less shady...

The market has gotten worst over the past year....at least on eBay. There have been quite a few fake MPC auctions. But as long as you are careful and use your credit card for online transactions..you are covered agaisnt fraud.

I never bought any synths on eBay..but I have purchased my Proteus and Proteus Rom boards. I also lucked up and purchased an Avalon pre-amp in mint condition from a first time seller. That was the best eBay purchase I ever made.

word, ya shit's gunna weak, but always has been. fraud happens. and u just gotta try not to get burnt. it's the risk u took. the mpc deal i got i think was mainly because i took teh risk, i don't think teh guy knew what he was doin.


but the same with nike dunkes:| imma be pissed if this guy i bought shit from is tryin to sell me a fake straight from china but i don't know how to look out for that shit. any of u out there know how to tell the fakes well?

The synth market can be kinda shady too. the old "I don;t know how it works, selling as is" trick is major, most older synths need some work that isn't picked up by the seller or not mentioned.

yea definately. but once u encounter thsoe problems and have to fix em. these mpc problems become so trivial, ya know?:-)

Most of the dunks on ebay are fake. I bought a fake pair by mistake, but they were cheap and good enough to skate with.
