when i listening thise Squarepusher and Luke vibert's music, their drum programming are amazing and impressed, when the drum beat go on, they adding much effect on it, change bpm, pattern, the sound, the pitch, , u get what i mean?um... just want to know how to make that great sound, need any gear , effector? can do it real-time, or need program it? really hope u guy can tell me, thanks alot.

Tray this:take a Snaresample and loop it. You have to experiment whit the Looplengh to have a good Roll. Then you can assing the Variationslider to Pitch and play around.
Maybe this could help.

yeah!! they definately have some exellent drum programming skills

step programming is a good start point. try on old digital drum machine like an ry30 - blinding for warp-type type micro rhythms.

Squarepusher sequenced his pre-2000 work on a Boss DR-660 drum machine, which wasn't designed to sequence entire songs. He uses hardware for his electronic music such as King Tubby-style spring reverbs and Akai samplers (950 for early work, s6000 for later work). From what Ive found out Native Instruments Reaktor is the g.o.

Max-MSP is supposed to be great too.

I have Reaktor (Session) and its awesome, especially when you downoald some of the user made instruments from the website. Alot of those guys are big Squarepusher/Autechre/Aphex Twin fans.

i went to the web of reaktor, and saw the demonstration, its really what im talking about, and i downloaded the demo version, seems quite hard ton use,.....ok, thanks man!!

and one more want to know is, its hard to creat a d'n'b loop in mpc1000, should i try to make a pattern then change the bpm to get it?? i tried, its not what i want, make be skills problem, so how u guys do to make a d'nb loop in 1K ?

i havent used the 1k but i have used the 2kxl and are now using the 4k for experimental dnb beats. I'm not sure what you mean with "change the bpm" do you mean starting to make the beat with a low bpm setting and then set it higher??
