whenever i sample a drum break off of a record i get low volume on my sampler. i have the record gain turned up, the trim on my mixer is turned about 3/4 of the way up, the main volume on my mixer is a little less than half way up, the volume on the mixer channel is all the way up. this plays pretty damn loud regularly but i get very low recorded volume. its low enough to where you cant even here the kicks in a sequence. if anyone knows how to fix this please let me know.

you must have an amplifier (reciever)... plug record player into phono in on amplifier. use the tape out from amplifier to mpc. you may need to get phono to 1/4" patch cords to connect from the amp to the mpc. if you do this it shouldn't be a problem (and you should only have to set record in at about half way).
