No doubt. I need to get Peak though. I don't trust the integrity of alot of these freeware programs.

He still never answered whether he had decay set to 0. Regardless, according to already posted and SEARCHABLE tutorials on the subject it can be due to the MPC's amp envelope.

I am not aware of any reason samples need to chopped right to the tail of a sample anyway. In fact, if you play though a chopped tail of a sample you are going to get clicks.

Yeah, sorry for not checking in... It's not the decay. Like I said I didn't think it was and it isn't. I don't need a tutorial on the amp envelope but thanks!

Well as I have stated before, I have gigs of samples that I have sliced to the way I like them to sound. The MPC is cutting them short and they don't sound right to me.

So now you are aware of at least 1 reason why someone would want the entire sample to play.

no clicks, just smooth transitions between samples. That's all I'm trying to say.

It was suggesting for you to actaully respond since no less than 3 people suggested that setting. Your lack of followup appears as if you are ignoring them.

How about you have 'sliced to make them difficult for future use'?

Regardless, there are many, many ways to add 30 ms of silence of ends of samples that do not require rocket science. I have even written a few myself into so-called free software.

Nope. Only difficult with an MPC2000XL. At least thats the only sampler I've trouble with so far with this issue.

Right on. I'm working on getting an NFR of Peak Pro XT 5. I mean I can't write computer code but I think I can figure it out in Peak. If not I'll search for a tutorial!!!
