Yeah, the song used in the beginning of the Pete Rock clip is some ole Pete Rock funk he is kicking. He loaded Love Is a Battlefield to show how he creates. There are three different songs that he uses in that clip.

LL was 16 when he recorded his first LP (no CDs back then).

Are you sure about Rakim's age? It depends on when he started recording. He is at least 37 today and may be older.

I went looking for this issue yesterday and I guess it's last months issue cuz it had someone else on the cover. But this is a seriously overpriced magazine though. 13.99 for an issue is ridiculous!

that's because it's an import to the states. computer music is the same way but at $15.99 and also because it comes with a CD/DVD so they have to justify the price of the media that comes with it.

It wasn't a remix he used at all. He used the regular version of the song. I believed he used the opening intro to Love Is A Battlefield.

Well, if we say he's 37 today and paid in full dropped in 87, that puts him around 18 years old when it dropped. I imagine it took some time to put the album together but i could be wrong. Either way, the album speaks for itself. No question there.
