While attempting to replace my drum pads on the mpc-60II, the AKK 1-T, which is a wire with a clear tubing, seems to have disconnected itself...or maybe I opened the casing a little too wide. Either way, I have this wire that is not connected to anything and I'm afraid I f'd up my 60. I am having a most difficult time even figuring out how the hell I can get the pad palette out of its fitting. JEez.....

Any help?

Thanks,

It goes to your backlight. See that little brown board behind the floppy drive, you can see that wire connected to it on the left hand side.

I'm assuming the Red wire is the power and the Black is the ground....but which do I resolder to which on the backlight?

Thanks,

the backlight takes AC power, so it shouldn;t matter, if it does, if you mix them up the backlight just won;t work and you can flip them and it'll work.

It's cool that you know how to solder, def can save you here.

not a big deal at all, although when you are done you might want to put some electrical tape so the wires don;t just come off in the future.
