Vinyl Storage

I have seen various producers or vinyl collectors with shelves for their records. Usually white and square like cubes and all.

Just curious to what ya'll use or created.

this old dude in my town makes wooden crates (a little longer than a typicalrecord crate). He sells them shyts for $6 ea. at the farmers market.

they go nice with my studio vibe, all my tables are nice handmade shyt.

One of my best friends is a fine furniture maker, so i get a lot of things like that, in fact dude built my studio.

Went to Home Depot & bought some wood. .. made some nice, strong shelving for cheap. .

i got oldschool crates and shelfs j need to pick up ,ore shelfs to take the records off the floor, but check it

I use crates like EDE is. Just not as many yet.

i think you're talkin about the expedit series from ikea:

i got two of em in my house now, plus stackable milk crates from thecontainerstore. they also come in black and birch, as well a 5x5 setup, and IMO work perfectly for vinyl.

im currently workin with a friend thats a carpenter to make me some wooden crates that are modular and can be stacked in different configurations.

Thanks I have crates but never thought of stacking them I will have to try it out. Thanks for all that responded. My room is lasrge, just I have slanted Ceilings so limits the rooms.

But I found a neat way of finding vinyl and copped a few hundred pieces a few weeks ago.

you can stack them four high and that about 7 ft maybe 8ft you can stack them three high and thats a cool hieght just ty strap them so they get more strudy thats what you dont see in my photo, plus i have them rope tided to the wall thats my earthquake proofin tip i live in cali so you have to have things tided down or earthquake proof.
spectre you do that with yours you live i DC that shakes more then hayward does doesnt it.

I don't have my shit tied or anything. I'm screwed if there's an earthquake. I don't remember when we last had an earthquake that actually made something fall over though. I guess I should do something anyway just in case.

For now I'm good. But I'll havte upgrade to a 5x5 cubes when mine is full

p.s.: madlib has like 3 5x5s full
