last night i was playing around with my mpc and came across this sort of trick. i dont know if this has been posted but heres what i did. i had a small sample of a string type thing. i looped the sample in the trim mode. then i set the sample to to the second setting in the progam mode(i dont have my mpc with me). i think its note on. and then using the q slider i set the pram to decay. doing this should cause a delay type efx. like i said though i dont have my mpc with me, so i think this is all i had to do for the efx. let me know if this is old news or if i left out a step.

or you can just use 16 levels to do velocity changes in the sample and just play from the top to bottom of the pads. 16 being the highest and 1 being the lowest.

yeah, ive done that, but doing this trick will really delay the sample by just hitting the pad. but it wont tempo sync or anything

yeah it decays before the loop so it stutters. nice catch!
