Tuning a sample....

quick question...I played around with trimming and tuning a sample this weekend. All my tweeking, looping did fine in edit mode, Play-X etc...But when i exited the screen it was back to the original sample. It DID Loop but my tuning was lost...HOw do I assign the modifications so that they stay that way when I go to use the pad?... Is that done in Loop, Edit, params, (open window) Convert or somthing like that?....

you need to assign the the new sample to a pad

once you do all your editing and what ever and you create a new sample you have to go to params and asign it to a pad

Yeah edit the PAD params. that sounds like what you wanna do.

So I read this post and I read the replies and I re-read this post and replies again, and it don't add up.

Whenever I change tuning/loop/level in TRIM mode, it automatically changes the sound on the pad it was already asigned to.

Example: I have a kick assigned to A1, A2, A5 & A6, with diff't filters on each pad. I make a basic drum beat. Then I decide I want the kick to be deeper, but I don't want to have to adjust the tuning on all the pads, so I go to the TRIM screen, hit PARAMS, tune it down and BAM!!!! All pads with that sample assigned to them are now tuned down. The fact that it didn't happen with your sound is wierd to me.

PEOPLE, STOP using the trim screen to tune and adjust params.

Shift + 6 to edit the pad envelope..

So when I want to tune a sound that's assigned to 16 different pads, you think I should tune each pads PARAMS instead of just tuning the sample PARAMS? Seems like a lot of work to me...
