Hi,
is it possible to chop a sample and assign to pads on the mpc 1000?

Yes its possbile but u have to do it manually, check Sparq´s Video tread for "chopping with the mpc1000" video.

its called extract and its my favorite thing about hte 1k, i love it, alot of people are lazy and dont like it

Still got some problem with that...

I got this sample, maybe 4 bars long...
So my aim is to chop it in many lil pieces and assign every pieces to one pad.
Now I used the extractfunction in the trim mode, but the extracted sample replaced the the orgin sample ... now i only got that one pieces and the former 4 bar sample is away...

What is my fault??

what you wnna do is called zoning, and the only way to do it is to buy a brand new mpc1k, only then will you have the software to do it, sorry
you can manually do it as descibed in the video. but to auto chop and zone, you will be able to do that when the new os is released.

But when Akai says their gonna be a new OS, it proberly will be released in about 1 year or something...right..

But what I´m complaining about...i got my baby since 3 days :lol:

I gonna check your video again...liked it a lot when i watched the first time...big probs to you sparq...

I guess the new black 1k's have started shipping from japan, and are loaded with the new 2.0os. But until Akai puts the new os up on their on their website, we are utilizing the 1.07 os.

Ok help me out with my problem. my computer sucks and it cannot download the video. so if someone would be nice enuff to briefly explain it to me i would really appreciate it, thanks..

yea this feature is great on my mpc 1000 i love it, it makes my ideas fresher!!!

after os 2, the mpc2000xl is gonna be the little baby of the akai family
