I wonder, if you connect a keyboard to the MPC can you play the sampled sounds of your MPC on the keyboard at higher/lower tones? Ie, to create bass lines.

Get the 2kxl or 4k and look into auto chromatic assign.You can do it on the 2k also but it's a little more time consuming.Don't know about the 1k,2500,3k, or 60 though.

Yes, on 1k, but for each new samplesound you must first spend about 20seconds assigning the midi pitches since there is no 'auto-chromatic assign'. after you do that it works fine.

get Kontakt. its a software sampler. you can do it with that and it comes with effects and everything. i think you can use it as a vst so if your able to connect your computer to your mpc then you can use that, too

Nice, nice...thanks for the heads up all. With MPC does it only have 16 levels, or will it fill the entire 61 keys?

Auto chromatic assign should fill the keys.
