Rinsed my pads and now have better accuracy

Word... what a trip. I never noticed that. On another note... how much to the wooden panels cost and how can i fix my damn buttons without paying a fortune?

Rok, how sensitive are the pads now? can you get full level hits without having to break the machine? I replaced the pads, but the sensitivity is still a bit dull. I have to bang on it really hard to get close to full level. Looking at replacing the pad sensors now. Oh the joy of having a 10+ yr old machine.

My machine is alive.....after going through cardiac arrest, due to a disconnected artery, doc says she's gonna make it.....

Although, not sure if this is normal on a mpc-60II, but my backlight is now humming.....power supply is good though. Light is luminescent as ever.....and quite indigo blue!

Still can't achieve full velocity on my pads......max velocity (set 200%) for each note is like 119, 121 if I whale it......127 is only possible with FULL LEVEL button activated.

I wasted 30 bucks on pads that don't do much for me....they're a little bit softer, but there is just something about the mpc-60 and its level of comfort when tapping vigorously. After playing with the pads for a few hours, my fingertips start to turn white and sometimes will bleed. Oh well..at least i'm back up and running.....beats coming very shortly!

yea i can acheive 127 velocity in step edit mode . make sure you strike the pad quickly with one finger.

still no 127 for me.....the mpc-60II is weird.....I don't know what's up with that....do you think I need a new Sensor palette? How much are they?

I pretty much always use 'full level'. Its a pain to adjust velocity separately, but it's not all that bad with using the slider and 'after' button. What I want to know is, how did the pads feel and respond when the machine was new? Anybody bought their machines brand new when they debuted? I dont want to replace the sensors if its not gonna make any difference.

Best thing is to call VST and ask them about it. they can let you know if the sensativity is affected and what might be the problem.

One of the 3000's I tried had to be hit really hard just to get something near 100. it was wild.

Yeah! I have to hit the pads with a large rubber hammer, in order to register anywhere near a 100 points of velocity.

I have to bang so hard, sometimes I feel like im going to punch thru the pads. I missed and put a deep dent on the face near the pads.

So I was messing with that vel mod some more today and found good results with tweaking the volume parameter. Its basically the pad sensitivity. 0 is most sensitive(full level) and 100 is superhuman strength. Cranking the track velocity to 200 worked ok, but this works alot better. In vel mod page, setting the volume to about 60 or so, makes the pads alot more responsive and can achieve full level hits more easily. Drumatic, see how you like it.
