non hip hop producers using mpc3000 or 60 here?

Still, its definetly hip-hop that got me into my MPC. The things I have seen done on these machines are what got me making mine the center of my focus over the last year. I finally realised that you really can make music on nothing more than an MPC.

Ive always done tekkno, w diffrnt machines, but when i got the 3k 3-4years ago, suddenly theese rappers wanna get my stuff an do a little shant, . its nice. so maybe it has become hiphop then..fast 133bpm hiphop.

yea that's what i do as well, tekkno, i start out working on a ragga jungle track, or a hip hop track, then speed it up if hip hop, keep it the same if jungle, throw the 4/4s on heh:-D it's fun...


i always try make hip hop, but i feel like i'm a fleck of sand within a beach. I don't feel like i accomplish anything new(of course all i work on is 80s style hip hop drums lol)...I too get the "yo u make some beats for us?" and then iget the shittiest mcs doing shit. everyone wants to be an mc so few have talent.

but yea, to who said u can do everything in an mpc3k, i agree man, seriously, i got this mpc i got this zip disk wit i loaded the sounds and the sequences, and i'm blown away by the quality hip hop beats in this thing. the sound quality is **** amazing, just inside the mpc... it's like woah:o

reggaeton is basically dancehall in spanish with cheaper gear

it's funny because it's become popular becuse it's big on the streets of NY, just like hip hop started, it's really big with the ladies and makes them want to get nasty, so it's also big with the guys. it's not really pop at all.

reggeton is pretty dope sometimes bumpin out of a shitty sound system, a lot of inspiration for new shit comes from walkin down round bushwick hearin shit bumpin like that, goin by my ears. on warm summer's nights... good shit... really distorted **** a i like it when it's distorted

it's also getting popular because the hispanics are pretty much top minority now in nyc, no?!:-) i don't know what i mean by top minority, but their influence is becoming more so and more so. their voices will be heard:o

I think it's pretty **** interesting all the spanish influences on things now. I'd like to see more of it and more cultures influencing music. I think that shit's always good.

please don't confuse hiphop with commercial rap music. the green bile waste you hear on the radio is beginning to sound more and more like Techno rap. Did you notice Eminem's latest material? What the F is that ish!? hahaha --- He used to be on the WAKE UP SHOW man....

Latino's have always been greatly appreciated and respected as major participants in the hiphop movement. Starting out in the South BX as B-boys, Graf writers, DJ's, and emcees....Raggatone, Raggamuffin' or whatever it is labeled, is just another movement.

I'm a 2KXl user (sorry for intruding ). I mostly do House and and a little of hip-hop and drum n bass. But I am heavily influenced by hip-hop.
