strangely all my exported wav from logic7 is 2 chanel (even when i bounced it to be mono) - as i understood the mpc2500 needs mono wav for the patch phrase to work.
Is it possible to make the imported wav´s in the mpc mono samples.
Could´t find anything in the manual...

anybody?

The patch phrase will work on stereo samples.....but it will only take the right (or left) channel of the stereo sample and chopp it.

There is no function to convert stereo samples to mono...or 2 mono samples to stereo. I am keeping my fingers crossed for this function to be added in the future.

Well I guess there is your work around. Phrase it then sample the internal out puts.

I guess.

But you are better off getting it in Logic first in my opinion.

(Really digging my new 2500).

ah thanks - ok there is no such function... well then i can stop searching for it ;-)

I need the patch phrase not for choping up the sample - but for addapting to a new speed - so i guess that´s what doesn´t work with stereo samples...

I never owned or played with an MPC 2000. I have the 2500 now. Did the 2000 also discriminate stereo samples and convert timestretchs to mono?

nah the 2000 didnt do that and you could also separate stereo tracks to two mono
