I have the MPC 1000 and the Motif ES 6 that's a deadly combo but I'm havin a midi problem! I want to use the MPC 1000 as the master and the ES for the sounds but when I hook up my monitor speakers to the 1k all I hear is the 1k but then when I hook up the monitor speakers to the ES all I hear is the ES ya feel me! Everything is midi together when I hook up the monitor speakers to the ES I can play from the ES and play back on the 1k and control from the 1k but when I try to record something on the 1k I don't hear the clicking sound before I record nor do I hear the drums I'm tryin to bang out! I want to be able to press rec + play on the 1k and play a melody with the ES and hear everything at the same time. Then go back to the 1k and bang out some nice drums and be able to hear the melody I just played on the ES when I recordin on the 1k ya feel me! For example peep the video http://www.samplekings.com/MPC1000_Preview.ram If anybody can help me out with my problem I would grealy appreciate it Thanks!

you got to hook 'em both up to a mixer. cuz the motif only sends midi

That's what I figured! That's good my homie threw in a free mixer for me since I had to wait so long for the MPC 1000 to arrive! It's a Yamaha MG 10/2 Stereo Mixer! So in order for me to hear the MPC 1000 and the Motif ES together I would have to hook the out's on the ES and the 1k to the mixer as well as the monitor speakers right? Holla at cha boy and let me know what's real!

yes
just hook up your mpc and your motif to the inputs of the mixer
and your monitors to the outputs.

I hooked up the monitor speakers and the 1k to the mixer and bam... but now all I need to do is go back to the GC to get 2 more Hosa cpr-203 dual cables 1/4 plugs to rca plug's so I can connect the ES and the Stanton turntable to the mixer! But my partner that works at my local GC is off today DAMN LOL! So I might just wait tell tomorrow to get both of the wires for like $3 ya feel me! But there not that expensive to begin with so I don't think it would matter what do u think? Holla at cha OnE!

I goin to the GC really quick to see how much the 1/4 to rca's are I need 2 of them[one for my ES and the turntable to run to the mixer] if there over $7 to $10 I will just wait until tomorrow to get two 1/4 to rca's for less then $10 from my partner! My partner is off today and the other sales person in the Keyboard section doesn't give any discounts so f!ck him I probably will have to wait until tomorrow but I'm goin down there to see if that other sales rep will hook me up like my other partner I don't know he might can't hurt to try! LOL!! Naw but I will be back in a minute to holla at everybody on da site GoNe!@#$
