My 2500 freezes when i purge samples. Is this a known bug?

I'm autoloading about 80mb (845 samples) of sounds into the 2500. I just added a 60 gig drive and tranferred about 1gig of loops that i want to chop up using the mpc. I figured i'd just delete all of my programs and then purge my memory to free up the RAM for editing samples. I'm on 10+ minutes now and i'm about to reboot this machine.

Anyone else running into this issue?

How are your purging your memory?

I'm pressing the purge button after hitting the window key on a program ... is there another way I should be doing it?

Purge works with 50 or so samples. Guess 800 samples might be boggin' down the 2500. I'll find a way to work around the issue.

845 samples

I can see why

I am too lazy to look..but I don't remember seeing anything about the number of samples that the 2500 can hold. The older MPCs usually had a limit.

But I see you found a workaround....
