Zip Drive usage

just noticed this, i have been using my zip drive for some years, until recently i have noticed, that i can only use like 30 percent of the zip disc

it says directory full, with a free amount of like 71.3 M in the save screen...
how can i use the other 70 percent of the Zip?

That's a common thing when formatting on a p.c. What are you using Fat or Fat16/32?

If you format on the mpc and like Mrc said use partions you should be able to use the whole disk.Even if toy don't partion you can still use the whole disk.

if ur using a mpc 2000, it cant recognize folders....so dont go that route if ur usin the 2000

According to his profile, he is not. Although, it would have been much better if he had stated what MPC he was using, or if he was using an MPC at all.

Still better, the poster could have found the answer in a search or paging through the last few pages of posts as this is frequently asked.

but, yea i got a 2000XL ..ill try the folders joint though

Let me ask yall this, I have been looking at getting a JAZ drive. Will a JAZ drive read 1gb and 2gb disks? Also will a JAZ drive read ZIP disks?

i got it straight.... my screen has been screwed up for the longest, and i just noticed that i wasnt getting many sounds on there, but i appreciate it...its doing its thing now
